Social Services Program Consultant 3 – Clinical Supervisor

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Department of Community Supervision is seeking a Social Services Program Consultant 3 to serve as a Clinical Supervisor within the Recidivism Reduction Unit. This position strengthens the quality and effectiveness of Alcohol and Drug Abuse (AOD) clinical services across the agency, supporting the mission to reduce recidivism and promote successful outcomes for individuals and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight, supervision, and quality assurance of all AOD clinical services, ensuring compliance with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia.
• Conduct individual and group clinical supervision sessions for counselors pursuing addiction certification.
• Maintain accurate record‑keeping and monitor direct service work experience hours.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and programs that align with DCS’s strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with statewide staff to promote best practices and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experienced clinical professional with a background in addiction counseling or related behavioral health fields.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor counseling staff.
• Strong knowledge of AOD treatment standards and certification requirements.
• Commitment to public service and the mission of the Department of Community Supervision.
