About the role
Nagish is seeking a dynamic Social Media & Community Manager to lead its online presence, grow its community, and drive influencer initiatives. The role blends content creation, community engagement, and advocacy, acting as the voice of Nagish across platforms and events.
Key responsibilities
- Own strategy, execution, and performance monitoring of Nagish’s social channels (X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Meta, TikTok, etc.).
- Create and manage content calendars, producing high‑impact, platform‑specific posts in spoken and ASL formats.
- Collaborate with creative and editorial teams to script short‑form videos that spark conversation.
- Monitor emerging trends, memes, and best practices to keep the brand culturally relevant.
- Drive follower growth and engagement through tailored campaigns.
- Develop and execute community engagement strategies within the accessibility, IP CTS, and IP Relay space.
- Engage with advocacy groups, community leaders, and stakeholders both digitally and in‑person.
- Represent Nagish at deaf and hard‑of‑hearing conferences, panels, and networking events.
- Identify, source, and manage influencers, overseeing outreach, content briefing, approval, and performance tracking.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, community management, or advocacy, preferably in accessibility, tech, or telecom.
- Proven ability to build and grow online communities and advocacy networks.
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and scriptwriting skills for social platforms.
- Passion for inclusivity, accessibility, and empowering marginalized communities.
- Excellent project‑management abilities and comfort juggling multiple campaigns.
- Confident public speaker or on‑camera presence, with or without interpretation.
