About the role
Amentum is seeking a SOC / Incident Response Analyst to support its U.S. Department of Energy contract. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. area on a 5-day, 8-hour schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a wide range of Cyber Intelligence (CI) services, delivering timely, actionable and relevant threat intelligence on hostile nation-states, cyber adversaries and criminals targeting U.S. energy sector partners.
- Support the security operations center and incident response team.
- Contribute to safety, quality and procedure compliance within the workplace.
Required profile
- 3 to 8+ years supporting Security Operations Centers or Incident Response teams.
- Active TS/SCI or DOE Q#javelin security clearance required.
- Certifications such as Security+, GCIH, GCFA or GCFE are preferred.
Required skills
- Experience with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, threat hunting, malware analysis and digital forensics.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and cyber kill chain methodologies.
