SOC Analyst – Remote

About the role

The SOC Analyst will join Trace3’s Security Operations Center to monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events across client environments. This remote position plays a critical part in protecting assets by identifying threats early, minimizing risk, and ensuring timely escalation and remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls and other security tools.
• Perform triage and analysis to assess severity, impact and root cause of events.
• Document incidents and follow defined response procedures, escalating when necessary.
• Execute initial containment and remediation steps using playbooks.
• Maintain awareness of current threats, vulnerabilities and emerging attack techniques.
• Produce detailed incident reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with incident response, threat intelligence and engineering teams for deeper investigations.

Required profile

• Experience working in a Security Operations Center or similar environment.
• Ability to analyze security events, determine priority and act quickly.
• Strong communication skills for clear documentation and escalation.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working remotely while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
