About the role
The SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) Coordinator will serve SNAP E&T clients across assigned counties, delivering career and education services that promote self‑sufficiency. Working within the Adult Education Division, the coordinator helps participants overcome barriers such as childcare and transportation while guiding them toward employment, further education, or skill development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualized career counseling and job‑search assistance to SNAP E&T participants.
- Develop and deliver workshops on resume writing, interview techniques, and basic digital skills.
- Identify and coordinate resources to remove barriers to participation, including childcare, transportation, and other support services.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with SNAP E&T program guidelines.
- Collaborate with community partners, employers, and internal staff to create training and employment opportunities.
- Monitor participant progress and report outcomes to program leadership.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in adult education, workforce development, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with SNAP E&T or similar workforce‑development programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
