Skilled Tradesman – HVAC Maintenance

About the role

The Skilled Tradesman – HVAC Maintenance is responsible for performing skilled mechanical maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports the campus facilities by ensuring reliable operation of all HVAC equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, and alter HVAC and refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed HVAC trade school training and hold the required HVAC license.
• Certification in HVAC mechanics per ACA 17-33-301 and EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant certification.
• Ability to work on‑site during day shift at the Little Rock campus.
