Site Manager - Security Services

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Site Manager in Colorado Springs. The Site Manager is responsible for the safety and security of employees and visitors, supervises and develops the security team, ensures shift supervisors are trained and performs as the primary physical security incident leader on duty.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general operations: evaluate post orders, review daily log reports, direct shift supervisors and hold officers accountable to company standards
• Ensure the security team receives regular training, implements security programs and enforces physical security measures
• Handle human resources: select and place security staff, run performance reviews, manage attendance, schedule shifts and run career development programs
• Run the safety program, review and update the emergency response plan, and monitor compliance with regulatory and fire prevention requirements
• Test security systems monthly, audit them weekly, monthly and quarterly, and reduce overtime
• Develop and cross-train security team members and lead a diverse security team
• Report monthly to facilities and corporate security on security and safety issues

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of experience in operational management of a large semi-independent business
• Experience supervising emergency preparedness, implementing security programs, managing security personnel, conducting risk assessments and leading a security team
• Ability to make decisions without management present, mediate conflicts and manage multiple projects
• Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may be needed before employment

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Aptitude with computer systems, CCTV, access control and badge administration
• Strong communication, planning, problem-solving and attention to detail

Preferred qualifications

• College degree in Business Administration or a law enforcement-related field
• ASIS International CPP certification
• Military or law enforcement experience, or graduation from a certified public safety academy
