About the role
Woolpert is seeking a motivated Site Civil Engineer Intern to join its Civil Engineering team in Charlotte, NC. The role offers hands‑on experience designing site layouts, working with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and supporting stormwater and pavement projects.
Key responsibilities
- Design and create site layout plans that meet client requirements and Woolpert standards.
- Develop concept, grading, and site design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Apply knowledge of hydrology and stormwater management to project tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify and resolve impediments.
- Perform pavement assessments, compile data, and produce reports.
- Complete other assigned duties, including occasional field work and travel.
Required profile
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Zero to two years of related experience.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and hydrology is preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally and overnight as needed.
