Simulation Center Director

About the role

The Simulation Center Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Clinical Skills and Simulation Education and leads day‑to‑day operations of the Goldstein Simulation Center, supporting Bouvé College of Health Sciences across Northeastern’s global network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, scheduling, and delivery of innovative simulation programming and special projects.
• Develop and maintain a simulation case repository, metrics dashboard, and compliance with Society of Simulation in Healthcare standards.
• Oversee budgetary planning, equipment procurement, contracts, and policy development for safe and effective center use.
• Lead training, professional development, and support academic and research activities related to simulation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Education, Instructional Technology, or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience working with educators, project and team management, preferably with clinical care and education background.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities; entrepreneurial and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive).
• Knowledge of medical simulation hardware, instructional technologies, and learning management software.
• Understanding of project management principles and simulation accreditation requirements.
