Shipping Coordinator – Shipping & Receiving Specialist

About the role

K+S Services, a SunSource company, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for its Taylor, MI facility. The role involves overseeing all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and coordinate activities of all involved in the shipping & receiving process.
• Monitor receiving to ensure inbound products are processed according to priority and entered into the work order system.
• Monitor shipping to ensure outbound products are properly packaged, delivered per requirements, and entered into the system.
• Interface with Customer Service and Sales to resolve issues and answer questions.
• Coordinate local delivery schedules with drivers, Customer Service, Customers, and Sales.
• Perform all shipping and receiving functions, including loading and unloading LTL shipments (fork truck certification required).
• Adjust delivery and priority requirements as needed.

Required profile

• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• 5+ years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic negotiation skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods with no lifting restrictions.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Required skills

• Fork truck certification.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
