Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that all physical aspects of Greystar properties—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite position involves responding to resident service requests and performing preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Perform the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain paperwork for tracking.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs in accordance with safety standards and code requirements.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to work onsite and handle a variety of physical tasks.
