Service Technician – Esteban Park

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspection.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete OSHA‑related training.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and respond to on‑call duties.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and working in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA certification Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
