About the role
The Service Technician ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas at Creekside meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.
Key responsibilities
- Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final quality checks.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
- Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
- Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting as needed.
- Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.
- Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents promptly.
- Inspect contractor work and conduct routine property inspections to identify safety or repair concerns.
Required profile
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to respond to on‑call duties.
- Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
- EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal refrigerant recycling certification and any state/local certifications required for service technicians.
