Service Technician (Automotive)

About the role

Jordan Toyota, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The role includes diagnosing malfunctions, completing repairs efficiently, and supervising apprentice technicians when assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and move vehicles to the appropriate stall.
• Diagnose vehicle issues, perform repairs, and document all work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain required parts and tag warranty items.
• Conduct road‑tests or coordinate with the test technician as needed.
• Supervise any apprentice technicians assigned to the work area.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and ensure all dealership tools are accounted for.
• Follow all safety policies, hazardous waste regulations, and report accidents promptly.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.

Required profile

• High Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score.
• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass background check, motor vehicle record check, drug test, and pre‑employment testing.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
