Service Supervisor – Urban House

About the role

The Service Supervisor for the Urban House community ensures that all building interiors, exteriors, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. Reporting to the Community Manager, this role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities to keep the property operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement and final quality checks.
• Develop and maintain standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, breezeways, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by service team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with policies, specifications and quality expectations.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative‑maintenance procedures as defined in the company policy manual.
• Assist the Community Manager with broader property‑wide initiatives and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical or building defects.
• Ability to oversee the make‑ready process and coordinate vendors and contractors.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes and Greystar’s operational policies.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and preventative‑maintenance scheduling.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, team members and external service providers.
