SEO & AEO Manager

About the role

Campfire is building a next‑gen AI‑native accounting platform and needs a senior SEO & AEO Manager to own both classic search results and AI‑generated answer surfaces. You will grow qualified organic traffic, shape the answer‑engine optimization program, and prove impact through robust measurement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the organic strategy, including keyword research, site architecture, technical SEO, on‑page optimization, internal linking, and a pipeline‑focused content program.
• Build an answer‑engine optimization program: identify buyer questions for LLM‑based search, create structured, source‑worthy content, and track citation share over time.
• Collaborate with the Content/Storytelling team to align search‑intent and narrative content, ensuring a unified voice and calendar.
• Partner with the Social Media Manager to enhance Reddit and community presence for AEO visibility.
• Maintain technical SEO health (crawlability, Core Web Vitals, structured data, migrations, site performance) with the web owner or agency.
• Develop measurement frameworks for rankings, organic pipeline, AI‑visibility, and qualified demand reporting.
• Lead digital PR and link‑earning initiatives based on original data, tools, and research.

Required profile

• 7+ years of B2B SEO experience with proven pipeline impact, including at least one program built from scratch or turned around.
• Hands‑on expertise with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, Screaming Frog, and comfortable working in a CMS.
• Solid understanding of how LLM‑based search and answer engines retrieve, rank, and cite sources, with a clear view on realistic AEO tactics.
• Strong technical SEO fundamentals and the ability to write specifications for engineers.
• Analytical mindset: build measurement frameworks before scaling initiatives.
