Senior Water and Energy Policy Analyst

About the role

Concurrent Technologies Corporation is seeking a Senior Water and Energy Policy Analyst to support defense clients in the Washington, D.C., area. The hybrid position involves researching, managing, and reporting data on water and energy resilience, while engaging directly with federal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex research tasks such as analyzing funding pathways (ERCIP, MILCON) and mapping state regulatory hurdles for water reuse technologies.
• Independently research and synthesize information on energy and water resilience technologies, policies, and market trends to inform project deliverables.
• Draft high‑quality report sections, briefing materials, and other written products with minimal oversight.
• Monitor federal and state policy landscapes, providing regular “so what” analysis to program leadership and the DAF client.
• Prepare for and actively participate in client meetings, developing agendas, briefings, and capturing decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, energy policy, water policy, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• 4‑6 years of professional experience in federal consulting, public policy analysis, or the energy/water/resilience sector.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated understanding of federal water and/or energy policy landscapes.

Required skills

• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities to synthesize complex information.
• Project management experience, including tracking deadlines and delivering final products.
