Senior Vehicle Test Engineer

About the role

REGENT is developing the Seaglider, a wing‑in‑ground‑effect craft for fast, sustainable coastal transportation. As a Senior Vehicle Test Engineer you will lead sea and air test programs, turning engineering goals into safe, repeatable test operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute phased test campaigns from on‑water trials through flight test and certification support.
• Develop risk‑informed test plans, checklists, and envelope expansion strategies to reduce risk while advancing performance.
• Translate engineering requirements into executable tests by collaborating with design, loads, controls, structures, and systems teams.
• Own test readiness, coordinate assets, infrastructure, and ensure safe execution of test events.
• Lead hazard assessments, safety reviews, and communicate go/no‑go decisions in high‑consequence environments.
• Support real‑time telemetry monitoring, capture anomalies, and produce post‑test reports to guide decisions.

Required profile

• Experience in vehicle, marine, flight, or integrated prototype testing (aerospace, maritime, automotive, or advanced mobility).
• Proven ability to build structured test plans with disciplined documentation in fast‑moving development programs.
• Strong safety mindset with experience in hazard analysis and risk management.
• Hands‑on comfort working with high‑energy systems and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Test planning and execution for sea and air vehicles.
• Hazard analysis and risk management (hazard logs, operational risk assessments, safety reviews).
• Telemetry review, anomaly triage, and post‑test reporting.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
