Senior Transportation Project Manager

About the role

Gonzalez Companies is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead design projects for MoDOT and local agency clients in Missouri and Southern Illinois. The role combines technical leadership, project execution, and business development to grow the firm’s transportation practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver transportation design projects for MoDOT and Missouri public agency clients.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate junior and mid‑level engineers both on‑site and remotely.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and drive growth of the Missouri transportation design market.
• Ensure compliance with MoDOT design standards and other applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
• Missouri Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 7+ years of transportation design experience.
• Extensive knowledge of MoDOT design requirements.
• Experience managing projects for public transportation agencies.
