Senior Trade & Industry Events Manager

About the role

Square is seeking a Senior Trade & Industry Events Manager to lead its trade show and industry event program across the retail and food & beverage sectors. The role will own the strategy and execution of flagship trade show activations, generate qualified leads, and showcase Square’s integrated solutions to sellers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of Tier 1 trade show activations, including booth design, production, on‑site logistics and staffing.
• Partner with the Trade Show Event Manager to develop the annual trade show strategy, select events, manage budgets, track ROI and provide strategic recommendations.
• Work with key industry partners to negotiate experiential sponsorships that drive brand awareness.
• Identify and evaluate new event opportunities to expand Square’s presence in target verticals.
• Collaborate with sales teams to implement lead capture processes and ensure proper follow‑up.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams—creative, product, sales, partnerships—to develop compelling experiences and align messaging.
• Manage vendor relationships, including agencies, warehousing partners, booth fabricators, AV providers and other contractors.
• Create and maintain processes for inventory management, shipping logistics, booth asset maintenance and documentation.
• Travel to key trade shows and industry events as required.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in planning and executing large‑scale trade shows or industry events.
• Strong ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.
• Excellent project management skills, including budget oversight and ROI analysis.
• Willingness to travel frequently to attend major events.
