About the role
The Senior Technical Accountant will lead Coder’s most complex accounting work, focusing on technical revenue accounting, equity accounting, consolidated reporting, and quarterly Board and investor reporting. Reporting to the Controller, you will collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Sales Operations, Product, Corporate Accounting, and external auditors to ensure rigorous, well‑supported accounting conclusions.
Key responsibilities
- Own technical accounting analysis for complex revenue arrangements, including contract modifications, variable consideration, new product offerings, and SSP considerations.
- Research, document, and communicate accounting positions for complex transactions, translating FASB ASC guidance into clear conclusions.
- Draft and maintain Coder’s ASC 606 revenue recognition policy memo and related playbook.
- Partner with Corporate Accounting on period‑end reporting to ensure consistent application of technical conclusions.
- Advise Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and Product on accounting implications of business decisions and new go‑to‑market offerings.
- Prepare and review quarterly stock‑based compensation accounting, journal entries, disclosures, and variance analysis.
- Prepare group financial statements, including consolidation for a multinational legal entity structure.
- Own quarterly Controllership reporting for the Board and investors, including financial results and key accounting matters.
- Support SOX readiness by maintaining strong controls and clear documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA license.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with substantial hands‑on technical accounting work.
- Big Four or public‑accounting audit experience.
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 718 stock‑based compensation.
- Experience preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements for multinational entities.
- Strong ability to research and apply FASB ASC guidance and document well‑supported conclusions.
