About the role
The Senior Tax Analyst will lead tax compliance and reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax obligations. You will partner with finance teams to support forecasting, strategic planning, and audit responses while staying current on evolving tax legislation.
Key responsibilities
- Review work of junior tax staff and ensure completeness of filings and financial statement disclosures.
- Manage workstreams for quarterly and annual tax provisions, documenting key judgments.
- Coordinate federal, state, and local tax filings, guaranteeing timely submission.
- Perform variance analyses on tax accounts and communicate results to finance partners.
- Research existing and emerging tax laws, quantify impacts, and identify favorable reporting positions.
- Lead responses to tax and financial statement audits, tracking items, owners, and deadlines.
- Identify recurring process gaps, propose targeted fixes, and implement solutions to reduce risk and cost.
- Support tax requirements for financial forecasting and strategic planning.
Required profile
- Senior‑level experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and review work of junior staff.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on variance analysis and risk mitigation.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with finance partners and auditors.
