Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Huntington, WV office. In this full-time, on-site position you will work closely with colleagues and clients to deliver accurate tax solutions and financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and filing deadlines.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address tax planning and strategy matters.
• Identify and resolve tax issues, providing clear recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax compliance, preparation and strategy, preferably in a public accounting environment.
• Strong background in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using tax preparation tools.
