Senior Systems Engineer (MTS) – SAR Missions

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (MTS) to lead SAR mission engineering for a global Earth‑observation satellite leader. The position is fully remote in the US for the first years, with optional relocation to Vancouver, BC later.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end SAR engineering across the full mission lifecycle, from concept to early operations.
• Develop mission concepts, high‑level specifications, and spacecraft budgets for the SAR payload.
• Lead technical solutions for mission enhancements such as beam mode and image‑quality modeling.
• Participate in risk management, integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Own design trade‑offs across spacecraft systems, SAR payload, processor, and user applications.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Math, Physics or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience with radar, SAR or similar active imaging systems.
• 5+ years in space systems engineering or comparable complex systems environment.
• Hands‑on SAR remote‑sensing experience, including system design, operation, and calibration.
• US citizen or permanent resident with strong communication skills.
