Senior System Administrator

About the role

Parsons' National Security Solutions team is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support its expanding portfolio within the Intelligence Community. The role works in a small, autonomous team and directly supports secure enclave development networks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure ongoing operability of systems.
• Develop, document, and enforce system administration standard operating procedures and local network usage policies.
• Maintain baseline system security, manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
• Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy, system recovery, and perform hardware repairs.
• Install, update, troubleshoot, and monitor servers and system configurations, ensuring performance, capacity, and availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 15 years of system administration experience, or a high‑school diploma with 20 years of experience.
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA‑Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).

Required skills

• Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Linux server administration.
• VMware/ESXi, virtual networking, and vCenter management.
• Network switching and router management.
• Storage management (NetApp).
• Hardware and operating system troubleshooting, system hardening.
• Security compliance scanning tools such as Nessus and ACAS.
• Understanding of RMF security design requirements.
