Senior Software Engineer – Product Platform

About the role

Join Cape’s Product Platform team to build the foundational services that power the carrier, including Identity & Access, Billing, Spam Protection, and Voicemail. You’ll collaborate with Product, Mobile, and SRE teams to deliver high‑impact features and re‑architect systems for scale.

Key responsibilities

• Enable scale by building reliable, extensible systems and safely migrating live flows.
• Own the lifecycle of features that span multiple core components from design to operation.
• Raise the bar with end‑to‑end testing, continuous deployment, and zero‑downtime migrations.
• Collaborate with Product, Mobile, SRE, and Design through clear written proposals.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design documentation.

• Strong partnership skills with product managers and designers.
• Pragmatic approach to building for the long term.

• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical teammates.

Required skills

• Go programming language.
• PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Streaming materialized views and data lake concepts.
• CI/CD pipelines and workflow orchestration tools.
• Distributed systems design, message queues, and async workflows.
• Experience with idempotency, retries, and schema migrations in production.
