Senior Security Operations Analyst

About the role

Saronic Technologies is building autonomous maritime platforms and needs a senior security professional to lead its Security Operations Center. The Senior Security Operations Analyst will own detection, investigation and response across endpoint, cloud, identity, network and SaaS environments, and will shape the SecOps processes from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and tune detections in the SIEM and XDR platforms, covering endpoint, cloud, identity, network and SaaS telemetry.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and end‑to‑end investigations of complex, cross‑domain security events, mapping findings to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Drive incident response for high‑severity incidents, act as escalation point on the on‑call rotation, and communicate status to leadership.
• Develop and maintain response playbooks, runbooks and analyst workflows, and track SecOps metrics and readiness.
• Conduct targeted threat hunts based on intelligence and detection‑gap analysis, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in security operations, detection engineering or incident response.
• Proven track record of leading ambiguous investigations across at least two domains (e.g., endpoint and cloud).
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate findings into actionable improvements.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards.
