Senior Scheduler – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

TD Thornton is seeking a Senior Scheduler to lead the development and management of detailed project schedules for complex construction and infrastructure projects. Based in Little Rock, AR, this role involves on‑site work and travel to project locations, supporting project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules from pre‑construction through project completion.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to establish baseline schedules and execution plans.
• Lead planning sessions and scheduling workshops to define sequencing and logic.
• Update schedules based on field progress, validate accuracy, and analyze critical path, float and variances.
• Identify schedule risks, create mitigation strategies, and develop “what‑if” recovery scenarios.
• Integrate cost and schedule data through resource loading and performance tracking.
• Prepare and present schedule updates, reports and analysis to stakeholders.
• Document schedule changes, support claim avoidance and assist with 4D scheduling models when required.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in scheduling across projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain detailed schedules for construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting projects from planning through execution and close‑out.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site at project locations.
