Senior Salesforce Technical Architect
roberthalf · Omaha
Job description
About the role
Robert Half and Protiviti run a sophisticated Salesforce ecosystem bridging Salesforce (Sales Cloud) and Azure at scale. They are looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect to own the ecosystem end-to-end and lead a distributed team of 10+ engineers across the US and India. This is an architect-level, hands-on leadership role: you will set technical direction, define engineering standards and be the final authority on platform versus off-platform decisions, while driving a major greenfield initiative implementing Salesforce Data 360 (CDP) for marketing segmentation.
Key responsibilities
- Define the on-platform versus off-platform decision framework and oversee complex Salesforce-Azure integrations with event-driven, near real-time patterns.
- Lead the implementation of Salesforce Data 360 (CDP) and evolve Agentforce and AI-enriched data pipelines.
- Act as final authority on design and code reviews, embed security throughout development and enforce automated linting, testing and security review gates (e.g., Checkmarx).
- Evolve Python-driven CI/CD pipelines and automate security scanning, code generation and review through to release.
- Mentor 10+ senior and junior engineers on Apex, LWC and distributed systems, and lead technical contribution to AI and ML initiatives including LLMs and Einstein Copilot.
- Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs and ETL data pipelines on Azure and Salesforce Data 360, and build high-performance front-end applications with modern JavaScript frameworks.
Required profile
- 10+ years of software engineering experience focused on the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Data Cloud/360, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud or similar).
- Expert-level command of Apex, LWC, Metadata API and highly customized enterprise instances.
- Strong experience building off-platform applications in Azure with Node.js or Python.
- Deep SDLC experience with SF CLI, Git and automated CI/CD pipelines; Python is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data 360 and emerging AI/agentic workflows.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
Required skills
- Salesforce: Apex, LWC, Metadata API, REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architectures
- Azure and AWS cloud technologies
- CI/CD pipelines (Python)
- Relational database design and asynchronous messaging patterns
What we offer
- Salary range of $119,000 to $180,000, negotiable, with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
- Group health, vision and dental insurance, FSA/HSA accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave of up to 6 weeks and disability coverage.
- Paid time off and up to 11 paid holidays, with a 401(k) employer match of 100% on the first 3% of contributions.
