Senior Reactor Operations Engineer

About the role

Radiant is developing the world’s first mass‑produced portable nuclear microreactors. As a Senior Reactor Operations Engineer you will design and implement mission‑critical operating procedures that enable reactor operators to safely test, commission, and run these microreactors.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify as a reactor operator to ensure procedures reflect real‑world execution.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve operator interfaces, procedural workflows, and software tools.
• Support testing and iterative improvement of digital‑twin scenarios, operator systems, and human‑machine interfaces.
• Maintain compliance with DOE and NRC standards, ensuring procedural documentation is clear, correctly formatted, and usable.
• Develop and refine operational procedures that integrate software and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.

Required profile

• 6‑7+ years of full‑time professional experience in engineering problem‑solving, including system design, analysis, or testing.
• Proven ability to manage or optimize complex hardware and software processes for testing and operations.
• Experience applying first‑principles thinking to solve ambiguous problems.
• Background in a highly regulated industry such as nuclear, aerospace, aviation, or maritime.
