Senior Quantitative Analyst – Financial Modeling

About the role

The Senior Quantitative Analyst II will design, develop, and maintain complex financial models that support loan and deposit product lifecycles, pricing, profitability, and product strategy. This role combines advanced statistical, econometric, and machine‑learning techniques with practical business insight.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain financial models for loss forecasting, stress testing, pricing, and portfolio optimization across retail, consumer, and commercial assets.
• Lead working groups, collaborate with line‑of‑business partners, and communicate model results to senior management.
• Use Python or R for data aggregation, analysis, and model development; employ Power BI for portfolio analytics.
• Work with model owners to satisfy independent reviewers, auditors, validators, and regulators.
• Research and propose new financial products and portfolio strategies; review academic and industry research for practical applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (required) and Master’s (preferred) in physics, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 6‑8 years of experience in a financial institution or consulting organization, with strong quantitative expertise.
• Ability to build effective relationships, present ideas clearly, and make sound analytical decisions.

Required skills

• Programming in Python or R.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, Java, C+, C++, or Julia.
• Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Office for analysis and presentation.
• Knowledge of financial risk modeling, machine learning, AI, and stress testing.
