Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated testing solutions for a cloud‑based big data analytics platform. You will work onsite in the St. Louis office as part of an agile product team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for cloud applications using Python, Java, Selenium and AWS services.
• Create comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate cloud infrastructure, services, complex data, and applications across multiple environments.
• Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, API, performance and usability testing, including load and scalability testing.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and architects to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Mentor QA peers and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and cloud‑native test capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience writing complex data queries and automation scripts for testing.
• Proven experience with relational SQL databases, especially Redshift.
• Ability to work onsite and participate in scrum ceremonies.
