Senior Purchasing Manager

About the role

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons company, seeks a Senior Purchasing Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for its product production. The role involves developing procurement strategies, ensuring reliable and cost‑effective supply of electronic components and system subassemblies, and collaborating with production, R&D, finance, contracts, and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Serve as primary contact for programs requiring purchasing support and manage escalations.
• Analyze market trends, costs, and supplier capabilities to drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, and quality expectations with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality or delivery issues, and ensure compliance with DoD regulations.
• Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team, including hiring and performance management.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with 5+ years leading purchasing teams.
• Proven experience negotiating with large OEM vendors and managing long‑term supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with federal purchasing regulations (EAR, FAR/DFARS, TAA, Section 889, SCRM).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to make data‑driven decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
• Data modeling and forecasting in tight supply‑chain environments.
• Knowledge of electronic component markets such as NAND memory, processors, and storage.
