Senior Propulsion Engineer – Multiple Openings

About the role

Venus Aerospace is developing next‑generation rotating detonation rocket engines and detonation ramjets. As a Senior Propulsion Engineer you will take propulsion concepts through design, analysis, testing and flight‑ready hardware, working in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion components and assemblies.
• Generate CAD models and detailed P&ID diagrams for engine systems.
• Perform fluid network modeling, select COTS components, and work with suppliers.
• Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and collaborate with vehicle and test teams.
• Design and analyze tanks, PPMS, and engine balances using systems‑engineering methods.

Required profile

• 5+ years of aerospace vehicle and engine systems engineering/design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with multidisciplinary project teams and systems engineering.

Required skills

• CAD modeling with NX or SolidWorks (large assemblies).
• Simulation tools: ANSYS Mechanical, CFX / StarCCM+.
• Programming/analysis: Matlab, Python.
• Process tools: GFSSP, Microsoft Visio.
• Fluid network design, P&ID creation, and DFM knowledge.
