Senior Property Claims Examiner (Remote)

About the role

The Senior Property Claims Examiner will work remotely to investigate, evaluate, and settle property and first‑party claims across the United States. Reporting to a Claims Supervisor, you will apply state‑specific guidelines and deliver high‑quality customer service while managing complex claim files.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate investigations of new claims and assess coverage.
• Negotiate settlements for collision, specified perils, property damage, and transportation losses.
• Oversee outside adjusters, appraisers, and experts.
• Interpret and apply state laws and insurance regulations.
• Prepare summaries and recommendations for high‑value claims.
• Respond to time‑sensitive matters such as arbitration hearings and regulatory complaints.
• Maintain a diary system to ensure timely claim resolution.
• Maintain required state licenses and pursue continuing education.
• Handle small‑claim suits as needed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of property claims experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to obtain licensing in required states or countries.
• AIC designation preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Open Office.
