Senior Project Associate – USRAP Travel Loan Reconciliation

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to manage the USRAP Travel Loan Program (TLP) reconciliations in Washington, D.C. The incumbent will support the financial and humanitarian objectives of the program by ensuring accurate daily and monthly reconciliation of travel loan transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly TLP reconciliations in accordance with established policies.
- Apply and monitor compliance with U.S. financial regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
- Execute billing, collections, and bookkeeping activities related to the travel loan program.
- Coordinate with the National TLP Reconciliations and Account Management Officer and the Head of USRAP TLP for reporting and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit and financial reporting requirements.
Required profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with six years of experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in office management, accounting/bookkeeping, and billing/collections.
- Certification in FDCPA is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (official IOM language requirement).
Required skills
- Knowledge of FCRA and FDCPA regulatory requirements.
- Office accounting and bookkeeping proficiency.
- Experience with billing and collections processes.
