Senior Production Supervisor – Avionics & Electrical Assembly

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a highly capable Production Supervisor to lead a team of avionics and electrical assembly technicians. The role focuses on building people, processes, and disciplined production environments to support rapid prototype development, new product introduction, and transition to flight‑ready hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technicians performing avionics and electrical assembly, integration, functional testing, troubleshooting, rework, and inspection support.
• Oversee work assignment, coaching, mentoring, training, performance feedback, and development of daily and weekly operating plans.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, ESD/FOD prevention, calibration, tool control, hardware traceability, non‑conformance, quality, and configuration‑management requirements.
• Guide disciplined troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis across electrical, electronic, wiring, sensor, power, and data‑interface systems.
• Develop and manage prototype and pre‑production build schedules, readiness milestones, risks, dependencies, and recovery plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent avionics/aerospace production experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience leading technicians or teams in aerospace, defense, UAS, or advanced manufacturing.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, highly dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
