Senior Product & Process Quality Design Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Nestlé Health Science is looking for a senior specialist to embed quality, food safety and regulatory compliance throughout the product development lifecycle. As the Quality representative for Category 1 and 2 projects, you will lead Quality‑by‑Design activities from idea to launch, develop pHACCP and monitoring plans, and support factories and application groups.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training and awareness on Nestlé standards, quality processes and GMPs.
• Serve as Quality representative on innovation project teams, ensuring all quality and food‑safety deliverables are met.
• Lead food‑safety assessments and develop mHACCP, pHACCP and rMMS plans for new products and technologies.
• Design, oversee and interpret scientific studies such as shelf‑life, challenge, method development and validation.
• Provide technical quality expertise to manufacturing sites and champion continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years experience in quality, R&D or manufacturing within food, nutrition or dietary‑supplement industry.
• Background in HACCP and experience supporting food‑safety and quality systems.
• Experience with Quality‑by‑Design, ingredient specifications and new‑product development.

Required skills

• HACCP methodology and risk assessment (microbiology, chemical contaminants, allergens, physical hazards).
• Quality‑by‑Design principles.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and Nestlé Management System (NMS).
• SAP GLOBE (Nestlé ERP) proficiency.
• PCQI certification and Better Process Control School (BPCS) training (preferred).
• Statistical process control, hygienic design, zoning and thermal processing.
