Senior Product Owner – PALMS (Lab Management System)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a senior product owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, development and adoption of PALMS – a strategic enterprise platform that digitizes laboratory operations and manages analytical sample workflows across the company’s global labs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year vision and global roadmap for PALMS aligned with the company’s laboratory digitization strategy.
• Lead migration from legacy laboratory systems, standardize analytical workflows and drive platform scalability and user experience.
• Own end‑to‑end product lifecycle, balancing innovation, operational requirements and technical debt.
• Partner with senior leaders across GIS, Lab Operations and Business Units to translate customer pain points into product initiatives.
• Establish operational governance, monitor platform health, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, Information Systems or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• 10+ years of product or program management experience, preferably in semiconductor or analytical laboratory environments.
• Proven track record delivering digital transformation and enterprise platform initiatives across global, cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• API integration and enterprise integration architecture.
• AI‑enabled workflow automation.
