Software Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Software Engineer to develop complex software solutions for semiconductor equipment. You will work on code that drives next‑generation chips and advanced displays, collaborating with internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain code for semiconductor equipment components and devices.
• Create software documentation, test procedures, and define specifications and test plans for simulators and test benches.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and implement bug fixes.
• Communicate with customers for requirement analysis, project scheduling, and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++.Net, and C#.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking principles, algorithms, multi‑threading, and RPC.
