Senior Product Engineer - Electronics

About the role

3M is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead technical development and sustainment of electronic components and films. The role focuses on products that manage thermal energy, electrical signals, interference, and vibration in smart systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage design change management projects (CMPs) for commercialized products to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Build deep technical knowledge of products and recommend improvements.
• Lead and support projects that improve quality, performance, service, and cost through Product & Process Understanding (PPU) efforts.
• Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams, plant personnel, and suppliers to resolve non‑conformances and improve efficiency.
• Write product standards and set specifications for raw materials, in‑process, and final testing.
• Integrate new products into sustained operations as a member of New Project Introduction (NPI) teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
• At least three years of experience in a technical role developing or sustaining products in private, public, government, or military environments.
• Experience with injection molding, films, lamination, or converting processes is a plus.
