Senior Product Engineer (AI, Full-Stack)

About the role

AZX is looking for a Senior Product Engineer who will own end‑to‑end client demos, from schema design to pixel‑perfect UI, deployment and observability. You will work across the chat surface, agent workspaces, the app builder and the shared component system, ensuring enterprise‑grade features such as accessibility, localization and audit trails are demonstrated, not just promised.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve the chat surface and agent workspaces, handling streaming protocols, message persistence, tool‑call UX and citation rendering.
• Partner with the platform team on the app builder, including fixed app templates, preview sandbox, and generation/repair loop UX.
• Maintain a consistent component and design system across chat, workspaces and the app builder.
• Develop the agent‑facing developer experience – CLI, deployment tooling, manifests – treating coding agents as first‑class users.
• Own full‑stack delivery for your features: TypeScript front‑end, Node/FastAPI BFF, Postgres schema, deployment and on‑call support.
• Ship enterprise readiness (accessibility, localization, audit trails) as fully demoed features.
• Debug across the stack by reading backend traces and Kubernetes logs when needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production experience with React/TypeScript, including streaming UIs and advanced state management.
• Hands‑on experience building end‑to‑end streaming protocols (SSE or WebSocket) and debugging raw byte streams.
• Full‑stack ownership experience shipping backend services (Node/Fastify or Python/FastAPI) that support your front‑ends.
• Enterprise‑grade product sense: accessibility, robust error states and comprehensive localization.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and a strong sense of ownership for instrumentation, cost awareness and on‑call duties.
