Senior Product Designer

About the role

join9amHealth is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of its consumer app, the daily touchpoint for members managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, and weight. This senior individual‑contributor role reports to the Head of Design and works closely with a cross‑functional product squad.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end design of the companion app, including flows, surfaces, interaction patterns, and visual system.
• Design habit‑forming daily engagement loops, onboarding experiences, and re‑engagement patterns.
• Collaborate with product managers, front‑end and back‑end engineers, and QA to ship high‑quality experiences.
• Ensure designs balance engaging experiences with clinical safety, avoiding pressure or shame loops.
• Integrate consumer‑facing designs with the company‑built EMR, understanding how member actions trigger care‑team workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in health‑tech or consumer‑facing digital products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design ownership and visual craftsmanship.
• Ability to think strategically across clinical and consumer domains.
• Excellent judgment to reconcile engaging design with clinical safety requirements.
