Senior PAS‑X Engineer – Pharmaceutical Automation

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior PAS‑X Engineer to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of Werum PAS‑X automation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing. The role involves overseeing projects across multiple sites in the United States and Puerto Rico, ensuring compliance with GMP and FDA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration and rollout of Werum PAS‑X solutions, integrating them with existing production lines.
• Manage end‑to‑end automation projects, controlling timelines, budgets and cross‑functional teams.
• Guarantee that all automation activities meet GMP, FDA and other regulatory standards.
• Oversee system maintenance, troubleshooting and performance optimisation to maximise uptime.
• Direct validation and qualification activities for automation equipment and software.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical automation, with deep expertise in Werum PAS‑X.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA guidelines and industry best practices.
• Proven project‑management background, capable of leading cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and documentation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Base salary range of $68,000 – $128,000 per year.
