Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Johnson & Johnson Med Tech is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead engineering projects that improve manufacturing efficiency and operational performance in Añasco, Puerto Rico. The role combines advanced supply chain engineering expertise with project management to drive process optimization and support product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute moderate to high‑complexity projects ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and business needs.
• Optimize process output, equipment utilization, waste reduction, and capital investment.
• Provide technical support for process deficiencies, equipment failures, and day‑to‑day troubleshooting.
• Maintain engineering documentation, SOPs, and support GMP audits as a subject‑matter expert.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or process development environment.
• Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Experience with validation cycles (FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ).

Required skills

• Validation procedures (FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Data analysis using Minitab.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
