Senior Managing Counsel, Blockchain & Digital Assets

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an experienced lawyer to lead legal support for its blockchain and digital‑asset initiatives. The Senior Managing Counsel will guide the integration of BVNK and the development of next‑generation stablecoin, cross‑border payment, and embedded finance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel for the strategic development and daily operations of Mastercard’s global digital‑asset products and services.
• Partner with Product, Business Development, Privacy, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Support the integration of BVNK and accelerate go‑to‑market readiness for new digital‑asset offerings.
• Draft, review, and implement policies, controls, and processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze complex regulatory frameworks and advise on commercial implications.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney with extensive experience in blockchain, digital assets, and financial services.
• Strong judgment, strategic thinking, and ability to navigate rapidly evolving regulatory environments.
• Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and analytical.
• Proven track record of delivering hands‑on legal support for product development.
