Senior Manager, Public Relations – Americas

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a senior public relations leader to drive earned media across the Americas, with a focus on raising the company’s profile in California and the San Francisco Bay Area. The role reports to the Global Public Relations Team Leader and the Americas PR Director and works in a hybrid setting from San Leandro.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with external communications, marketing, internal communications, executives, subject‑matter experts and local agencies to develop and execute integrated US PR plans, emphasizing technical PR and Bay‑Area visibility.
• Manage day‑to‑day relationships with regional PR agencies, including budget oversight, KPI setting, performance monitoring and reporting to global leadership.
• Develop and maintain PR performance dashboards and regular reporting against tactical and strategic KPIs.
• Coordinate and host media interviews for key milestone events in partnership with global PR leadership.
• Create press materials such as media kits, op‑eds, thought‑leadership articles, talking points, media briefs and news releases.
• Identify media opportunities in California/Bay Area and technical outlets, and respond rapidly to inbound media enquiries.
• Support internal communications updates to demonstrate program progress and outcomes.
• Oversee procurement and agency‑related processes for regional PR events and activities.
• Assist with regional events (virtual and in‑person) to boost visibility.
• Provide issues and crisis communications support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in public relations, external communications or media relations.

• Salary range $141,600 – $236,000 per year.
