About the role
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead machinery and quality expertise for BASF’s North American sites. The role will set strategy, develop solutions and ensure reliable performance of rotating and static equipment across multiple locations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement resource strategies to support high‑machinery reliability and align with regional and global goals.
- Lead the Heavy Duty Rotating Equipment program and oversee quality resources for capital projects, turnarounds and routine maintenance.
- Drive best‑practice development, share learnings across the region and participate in global working groups.
- Manage teams focused on categories such as centrifugal, reciprocating, turbines, pumps and mechanical refrigeration, ensuring performance over the asset life‑cycle.
- Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers and digitalization teams to introduce new technologies and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
- 10+ years of engineering or maintenance experience in petrochemical or refining environments.
- Proven ability to lead multicultural teams and build strong technical networks.
- Deep understanding of machinery theory, capital project processes and engineering tools.
