Senior Manager, Fraud Investigations

About the role

The Senior Manager, Fraud Investigations will lead tastytrade’s fraud function, shaping strategy, building a high‑performing team and partnering with compliance, operations, product and technology. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this hybrid role offers high visibility and autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Define the fraud taxonomy, risk philosophy, control framework, escalation protocols and documentation.
• Partner with business units to set fraud risk appetite, budget and KPI framework; own reporting to senior leadership.
• Design SAR filing escalation path with the AML Officer and maintain a comprehensive fraud‑vector map across the customer journey.
• Manage fraud budget, headcount planning, tooling and vendor spend.
• Take strategic ownership of fraud vectors from account opening through withdrawal, drive investigations to resolution and shape monitoring/detection strategy.
• Hire, develop and manage the Fraud Risk team, define role scopes, escalation authority and collaboration with Customer Support, Compliance and Risk teams.
• Build frontline escalation protocols, case playbooks and settlement processes, and continuously measure and improve program performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading fraud teams in a fintech or brokerage environment.
• Track record of scaling teams and adapting operations to evolving risk and regulatory landscapes.
• Deep knowledge of fraud prevention, detection and AML processes.
• Comfort with ambiguity, ability to work in a green‑field setting and pivot quickly.
