Senior Manager, Cluster Engineering & Deployment

About the role

The Senior Manager, Cluster Engineering & Deployment owns the end‑to‑end process that converts delivered racks into production‑ready AI compute clusters. This role is critical for schedule‑driven revenue, ensuring network bring‑up, fabric verification, GPU integration, and cluster validation meet strict acceptance criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the cluster deployment playbook, including staged bring‑up, automated configuration pushes, link/optics validation, and fault triage.
• Lead deployment engineering across multiple concurrent builds, coordinating with Data Center Integration teams and cabling vendors.
• Drive deployment velocity by reducing bring‑up time through tooling, pre‑staging, and defect‑source elimination.
• Own defect feedback loops to Network Engineering, Layer‑One, and hardware vendors, holding partners accountable for resolutions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in network deployment, cluster/HPC bring‑up, or large‑scale infrastructure delivery, with proven people‑management skills.
• Hands‑on fabric bring‑up experience at scale (hundreds of switches, thousands of links) and strong operational rigor in playbooks, gates, and metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent builds with schedule accountability.
